In glorious sunshine, our two school teams made their Cumann na mBunscol bow for the year in Killyon.
The boys team were first up and enjoyed a slender lead up until the final few minutes, but unfortunately lost by a few points to a strong Killyon team. It was an outstanding battle between two very committed teams and came down to the very last few pucks of the game.
The girls were next up and gave it their all against an exceptionally strong Killyon team. They battled for every ball and fought until the end earning their just reward with a super goal at the close of play. A lot of the Camogie players were making their debut as did a few in the boys competition and it was great to see them all apply themselves so well.
We have two games left after Easter, with a boys match arranged provisionally for 1.30pm in Dunsany on the 29th of April. No other fixtures to hand as of yet.
