The boys hurling team created history this week in participating in the school's first ever hurling tournament. The INTO Mini 7s were held in Kilcloon and the team also got to wear our new jerseys for the first time also, which were so kindly sponsored by Kilcloon Credit Union recently.
Big numbers turned out and great skills were on show.
Huge credit must go to Blackhall Gaels GAA and Kiltale GAA for nurturing these budding hurlers into the players they are, and great success awaits judging by the talent seen.
The team played two and lost two, but battled keenly throughout.
Massive thanks also to Stephen Traynor and to Ger Sadler who sourced spare helmets and equipment for these games.
It's the girls turn next Wednesday in Ashbourne. Looking forward to it already.
