In 1st and 2nd class, we have been working hard to solve word problems. The children have been using the Read, Underline, Draw, Estimate, Calculate and Check method (RUDECC). The class enjoyed trying to solve the problems and had even more fun creating our own word problems for the boys and girls in Ms. Kearns class to solve. First and Second class visited the Infants classroom today and worked in pairs or small groups. We read the Infants our word problem and worked together to help them solve it. The children had lots of fun working together.
