September Assembly

27th Sep 2024
Today was the first assembly of the school year. We welcomed all the new junior infants to the school and complimented them on how good that they are at lining up in the yard and listening to their teacher.
We reminded the whole school of our golden rules and how important it is to treat everyone with respect.
One child from each class was awarded with Gaeilgoir na Míosa. The teachers picked a child from their class who was making a particular to use their Irish everyday around the school, comhghairdeachas!
5th and 6th class gave a presentation at assembly also. This month they learned about Mother Teresa and all the work that she did especially in India. The other classes were very interested in the presentation and the children presented the information very well.
Finally 5th/6th class sang a song in Irish 'Léimigí, Casagí (Jumpr down, turn around) complete with actions, it really livened up the assembly. Thank you 5th/6th class and to Mr Buckley for all the hard work you put in to the presentation and performance.
