We celebrated World Book Day 2024 by dressing up as our favourite book characters. Each class completed a range of World Book Day themed activities including creating book marks and designing book covers.
The book fair visited our school and pupils had the opportunity to purchase a book of their choice. During our whole school assembly we talked about the books we are reading, we looked at the new Gaeilge books purchased for our school library and we celebrated reading for enjoyment.
Pupils in senior classes participated in a story telling webinar about St. Patrick with famous Irish storyteller Balor O’Brien.
Our pupils in 3rd and 4th class visited Dunboyne Library as part of their scheduled visits and enjoyed exploring books linked with the themes we are focusing on in school including St. Patrick’s Day, Irish heritage and history and books written in Irish.
