On behalf of our school community, I would like to welcome you to our school website. I thank you for taking the time to explore. I hope that this website will give you an insight into school life here at St. Joseph’s National School, Mulhussey.

Our school is such a warm, friendly and welcoming school committed to creating a positive learning environment for the pupils in our care. We have a wonderful staff team here at the school with an outstanding work ethic, who are committed and dedicated to our pupils and school development. Our staff work collaboratively towards ensuring high quality teaching and learning for our pupils. It is the combined effort of the team that guides your child through their primary school years. I speak on behalf of the staff when I say that it is a privilege for us to share these inspiring and formative years with our pupils.

I am extremely proud of the fantastic achievements of our pupils who continuously display enthusiasm for school and learning. Each child’s individual talents are valued and nurtured here at the school.

We are committed to inclusion and diversity and celebrate each child’s uniqueness. We value the partnerships between home, school and the wider school community. I would like to thank our parent body for their continued support and our extremely active Parents Association who support the school in so many ways. Our pupils’ strong support from home for teaching and learning has a positive effect on pupil attainment and on pupil’s attitude towards learning.

While all school stakeholders are highly valued for their individual roles and high levels of teamwork, it is our children that are central to everything we work towards in our school.
