Maths Week

Each year we celebrate Maths Week during the month of October. Maths Week is an important way to help learners, of all ages, to enjoy Maths and to highlight the creativity of this subject. During this week, we focus on all things Maths. Pupils enjoy participating in a range of Maths games and challenges. We developed a ‘Maths Eyes’ trail around the local area with spot prizes for those who participated. We focus on the language of Maths and remind pupils of our whole school problem solving strategy; ‘RUDE’ which stands for Read, Underline, Draw and Estimate. Participation in this initiative promotes positive attitudes towards Maths across the school.
