What a year we had during the 2022 – 2023 school year with great successes, achievements, engagement and participation. We had fortnightly visits from the local Games Promotion Officer Owen. Our Junior and Senior Infants enjoyed the ‘Camán and Play’ programme facilitated by Owen. They even got to decorate their own hurls.

Our football teams trained afterschool on Mondays and Fridays. They proudly represented the school at the Cumann na mBuncol league winning a number of their matches. What great skill and sportsmanship we witnessed throughout the league.

Our pupils also participated in a number of rugby sessions facilitated by North Kildare Rugby. We even attended the RDS to see a Leinster rugby match at the end of January.

Our 3rd and 4th class pupils were involved in a football blitz with local schools which was great fun for all. Our senior pupils attend the FAI Futsal blitz and again great fun was had by all.

Our pupils from 1st – 6th class attend Aura Leisure Centre in Trim for a five-week block of aquatics. This was a great opportunity for our pupils to learn and develop their swimming skills and knowledge of water safety.

Our pupils in 5th and 6th class enjoyed partaking in the 'Cycle Right' programme. Cycle Right is a cyclist road safety training programme designed to give cyclists the knowledge and skills to move safely through the road system, an environment shared with other road users. Our pupils learned essential safety and competency skills such as bike handling, correct use of helmets, bike safety checks and how to navigate in various road environments. This was an invaluable experience for our 5th and 6th class pupils.
